Frequently Asked Questions

Step 1. You fill out the contact form on the “Contact” tab of this website. You may also call me at (208) 371-4502 or email me at will.gundlach@gmail.com. Just be sure to leave me your contact information!
Step 2. I respond to you in less than 48 hours time and we set up a time to meet—either virtually or in person, whichever you’d prefer.
Step 3. We have our introductory meeting which usually lasts about 20-30 minutes. Typically this is just between myself and the parents, but sometimes, parents like to have their child meet me towards the end of our introductory meeting. This is the time for all sides to ask questions and for parents to see if I’m the right fit for their child’s tutoring needs.
Step 4. We’ll schedule and then compete your first tutoring session.
Step 5. If you’re sold after that, congrats! You are officially on my tutoring roster and we can start scheduling our tutoring sessions moving forward.

Once you’re a client of mine, we’ll establish a plan that works for your family. Ideally, we’re keeping a consistent schedule most of the time, but I also understand that some families’ schedules are more amorphous than others, so I can be adaptable within reason.

The consultation meeting is free, however the first tutoring session is not. We’ll check back in after your child’s first session to see if you want to continue tutoring with me.

Yes, definitely! Throughout the year, I’ll offer different discounts such as “The Start of Summer Discount” (month of June), “The Start of School Year Discount” (month of September) and “The Start of Second Semester Discount” (month of January). The “start of” discounts are only for new clients signing on with Will the Tutor in the specified month.
Not a new client and still want a discount? Refer another family and once they’ve taken 3 hours of tutoring, you’ve got yourself a discount.
Note: All discounts will be applied as $20 dollars off each of your next 5 hours of tutoring, for a total discount of $100.

Some families like to pay at the beginning of each month; other families like to pay at the end of each week. Some families prefer to receive a professional invoice; other families are fine without the invoice.
All to say, I’m pretty flexible with how you want to pay me, as long as we have a system and we stick to our system. I accept checks, cash, Venmo, and Zelle.
